Given the enormous stress that the last couple of years has placed on the health care system, I was truly impressed by the quality of care I received from the entire nursing staff at Providence. They were kind, compassionate, responsive and attentive to my needs. I would especially like to recognize Sadi who was my night nurse. When I was brought upstairs from the ER, I was in a LOT of pain and I was so scared that the 2 nurses wouldn't be able to move me from the stretcher to the bed without causing me more pain. Sadi assured me that they were professionals and could move me. She was so patient with me, listened to my concerns and asked if I would feel better if they brought in another person to assist. They did and moved me easily. Once they moved me and I understood the technique they used, I realized that she was right, and they would have been able to move me without calling in another person. The point is - she put my fears and pain above what she knew she was capable of doing. That is the mark of a truly compassionate caregiver. She continued to give me high-quality and compassionate care for the rest of my stay.
